Indochina is a region of Southeast Asia that sits east of India and South of China. The region of Indochina is made up of Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam. So any true tour of Indochina would comprise of time spent in each country. But how do you know where are the best areas to visit? Well, in this article we are going to recommend some great stops to make on your tour.

Vietnam:
- Saigon is the largest and most cosmopolitan of Vietnam's cities. The most-see sights include the former Presidential Palace, the Notre Dame Cathedral and the War Remnants Museum, which explores the story of the Vietnam War and its aftermath.
- Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, is often referred to as the Paris of the East. Its beautiful lakes, parks and shaded boulevards are certainly worth a visit.

Cambodia:
This beautiful country is happily emerging from the shadow cast by the legacy of the brutal Khmer Rouge Regime led by Pol Pot. For a true understanding of this period in recent history visitors should take a trip to the Tuol Sleng Museum of Genocidal Crimes and the Killing Fields. Having gained an understanding of modern Cambodia, it is worth putting the history of Cambodia into perspective with a visit to the Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda and National Museum.
The fortified city of Angkor Thom is another great historical city to visit. Start at the Southern Gate and continue to The Bayon, beautifully carved with numerous striking faces, followed by a visit to the Elephant Terrace, the Terrace of the Leper King and the magnificent Angkor Wat.

Laos:
Laos is also known for its natural beauty and a visit to the Kuangsi Waterfall or a boat ride on the Mekong River is sure to convince you. Also worth a visit is Luang Prabang, the UNESCO listed town with it's beautiful temples.
