The Cleaning is one of the most significant practices observed by the people in Thailand during Songkran. Thais clean their homes thoroughly as they believe old and dirty things will bring them misfortune.

Nang Songkran Parade is a spectacle that enthrals many. Especially among foreign tourists, the parade is a big hit as it allows them to experience different facets of the vibrant Thai culture. One of the biggest highlights of the parade is the Nang Songkran (Miss Songkran) who is the first one to float pass.

Many welcome the splash of cool water in the scorching summer heat! People who plan holidays to Pattaya or Bangkok during mid-April must get ready to get wet and wild!

Bathing ceremony and building sand pagodas are other major customs that are observed by the Thais during the festival.
