Celebration needs no time, no season, but fall is indeed an idyllic time to exult a season. The thrill of this time can be felt in the air itself. The Theme Parks makes it even more thrilling by organizing many special events. But unquestionably the best of all is the Halloween, which makes the celebration more and more exciting.
Thereandrsquo;s something about the fall that lends excitement to the air. And whether you have kids back in school or not, fall is a fabulous time to celebrate a season. Theme parks have caught onto that and many have scheduled special events for that time of year, but the biggest fall celebration must be Halloween.
Legoland and Gilroy Gardens are other popular attractions in California with special Halloween events and andldquo;Halloween Horror Nightsandrdquo; at Universal in California and Florida. So what else is happening in Florida? Whatandrsquo;s happening at Walt Disney World and the other Orlando theme parks?
Until 1972 when Knottandrsquo;s Berry Farm in Buena Park, California transformed its park into andldquo;Knottandrsquo;s Scary Farm,andrdquo; most amusement parks closed their doors by Halloween. By now many are staying open, especially decorated with a Halloween-theme, such as haunted houses and other scary, spooky attractions. Some of these are:
The Haunted Mansion at Disneyland in Anaheim, California is a bit tamer with its Halloween/Christmas theme of andldquo;Haunted Mansion Holiday.andrdquo; But the Tower of Terror next door at Disneyandrsquo;s California Adventure is always scary. And an after-hours extra admission ticket required event, andldquo;Mickeyandrsquo;s Halloween Treatandrdquo; takes place with live music, trick-or-treat stations, craft-making, activities, and other mildly spooky fun for the little ones, as well as selected rides and attractions.
While Universal Orlando has 18 nights of andldquo;Halloween Horror Nights from September 26 through November 1, Disney World, has 24 nights of andldquo;Mickeyandrsquo;s Not So Scary Halloween Nightandrdquo; catering more to the younger set. It begins September 5 and goes through October 31. Advance tickets, which can be purchased online, are $55.95 for ages 10 and up and $49.95 for ages 3-9. Advance tickets, which are discounted for select dates, can be purchased online. The event requires a separate ticket from daytime theme park passes.
But thatandrsquo;s not all for Florida. Sea World hosts andldquo;Spooktacular,andrdquo; also for the younger set. And if youandrsquo;re in neighboring Tampa, you might drop in on andldquo;Howl O Screamandrdquo; at Busch Gardens Africa.
But California and Florida donandrsquo;t have all of the Halloween Fun. Check out these events:
andbull; andldquo;Magic Screamsandrdquo; at Magic Springs in Little Rock, Arkansas
andbull; Six Flags properties across the U.S. also offer Halloween-themed activities called andldquo;The Six Flags Fright Fest.andrdquo;
andbull; Adventuredome at Circus Circus in Las Vegas, Nevada becomes the andldquo;Fright Domeandrdquo;
andbull; From Northern Ohio, Cedar Point has andldquo;Halloweekendsandrdquo; and from Southern Ohio, Kingandrsquo;s Island has andldquo;Halloween Haunt and Nick-Or-Treatandrdquo;
andbull; andldquo;Hersheypark in the Darkandrdquo; at Hershey Park, Hershey, Pennsylvania
