Kanha National Park is one of the most popular destinations to visit if you are planning to experience some adventure and wildlife. It is situated in a convenient in the district of Mandla which lies within the capital state of Madhya Pradesh and it is well known for the tiger reserve which stretches an area of around one thousand nine hundred and forty square kilometer.

The valley is shaped like a horse-shoe which is enclosed by the urge of Mekal that introduce one of the interesting topography. The climatic condition is extremely tropical. The seasons here are depended upon the climate and atmosphere because during the summer season the climate is too warm. While in the winters seasons the atmosphere is cold. Therefore, if you are planning to visit this national park during the winter season make sure you carry warm clothes to protect oneself from cold while touring in jeep safari.

This park is generally closed from 1st of July till the end of October. Usually, according to the Indian geographic conditions, these months are rainy season, where the animals mostly prefer living in shelters than wandering out. One of the best times to visit it is from November to June.

In the Kanha National Park, there are numerous good facilities offered for tourist to stay. Visitors can also stay in the Krishna Jungle Resort, which is located exactly in front of the main gateway of this Park.

Facilities provided are the hotels and canteens at the Kisli, where you can go and try out mouth watering delicacies of both western and Indian cuisines. The rates here are very reasonable and some times they are also cheaper and affordable than the other market rates. In these accommodations, travelers are offered well equipped rooms where they can have their comfortable and satisfying stay in the Kanha National Park.

If you want to reach the Kanha Park, there are mainly two ways passing through Kisli or Khatia. From the Jabalpur town, there are bus services available on daily basis to reach this place. From the cities of Jabalpur, Raipur and Bilaspur you can also hire taxis to arrive at park. No other private vehicles such as car or jeeps are permitted inside this park after it gets dark, so one has to reach here before the dusk.
