Orlando, Florida is well known for its wealth of theme parks, but not everybody knows all the options. Everyone has heard of Disney World, but fewer know that there are actually four theme parks under that title. Tourists come from across the world to visit the self-proclaimed most magical place on Earth, but which park is right for you?The Magic Kingdom is the original Disney World park, offering the classic rides, such as Space Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean, Splash Mountain, and The Haunted Mansion. This is the place if youre looking for family fun and emblematic symbols of Disney World, like Cinderellas Castle. Every child should get a chance to take the Dumbo ride and take a spin around Disneys giant carousel. Everyone who comes to Orlando should visit the Magic Kingdom at least once, and it is an especially good stop for kids. Just be prepared for a full day and expect your feet to get tired. Dont forget to catch the fireworks at the end of the day.Epcot was the second addition to the Disney World parks, designed to let visitors experience traveling the world all in one park. Numerous different countries are represented here, with food, shops, and architecture mimicking each unique culture. This park is geared toward more grown up tastes, but kids may enjoy the Test Track and Mission Space. Future World is also a hit with the kids, offering several futuristic video games and a future house filled with all the technological advances that will soon be coming to market.Disneys Hollywood Studios offers even more to explore. This park has one of Disneys best roller-coasters, the Rockin Roller Coaster, set to songs by Aerosmith. For the adventurous, there is also the fabled Tower of Terror, a 13 story haunted elevator that drops with startling speed. For those with more tame tastes, there is also a stunt show, the Muppets 3D, and an excellent Star Wars ride. There is not quite as much to do here as in the other parks, however, so this may only be a half-day excursion.Animal Kingdom is the newest addition to the Disney World family. This theme park offers you a true safari experience right in the heart of Orlando. The safari ride is truly the height of the park, allowing you to see antelope, wildebeest, and even cheetahs and lions with no fences between you. For the best experience, go early in the morning or closer to dusk when the animals are most active. The rest of the park offers several water rides, a couple roller coasters, and numerous animal exhibits. There is also the Lion King show, which is definitely worth dropping in for. If you show up early, you may be able to catch the parks opening ceremonies, which includes music, stilt walkers, and close encounters with some of the animals. If you cant decide which parks to try, you can always by a park hopper pass, which will allow you to visit as many as you want over a certain number of days. If you want a Disney vacation but are afraid of the cost, dont worry. There are many places in Orlando that will offer you steeply discounted tickets, as low as $15 a piece, if youll spend a day looking at their time shares. While this may not be the most exciting ways to spend one of your vacation days, it might be worth it for the savings. You may even have fun, and the timeshares always offer a very nice complementary breakfast before you begin youre tour. However you decide to visit Disney, you will certainly have a good time. Bring good walking shoes, wear your sunscreen, and be prepared for some fun.
