Almeria is the first choice for those who visit Spain and want to spend their holiday in the beautiful environment, also visiting places of history. The city is always filled with tourists always busy when he visits Almeria because there is so much to see and enjoy.

The average height of the natural park is about 493 meters. This has been popular as Europe s driest area because the average annual rainfall of this area is about 100 mm.

Almeria has the highest number of caves and some of these caves have been inhabited since 3000 years. These cave houses give a glittering example of the life of the people who lived in these caves. Help of guides is available on request.

According to historians the castle was built during the 6th century by a king by name los Velez. The castle has the wall and other structures which are of typical Moorish architecture. Out of the two buildings in the castle, one is used as an Archaeological museum. The other building is a palace which is believed to have been built in the 16th century and is now being used as a contemporary museum Cuevas de Almazora.

Roquetas Castle is yet another historic building. The Roquetas Castle is believed to have been built in the 10th century. This Arabic Castle underwent several changes during the successive civilizations. In spite of all these, the castle has maintained its popularity. This old castle has been very well preserved and is now being used as a place for holding exhibitions, etc.
