Built in red sandstone by mughal emperor Akbar, the Agra Fort is known for its architectural brilliance.

Built by Emperor Akbar, Fatehpur Sikri is an abandoned city located in the outskirt to of Agra. Worthy attractions in Fatehpur Sikri is Buland Darwaza, Birbal Mahal, Panch Mahal, Salim Chisti Masjid and ruins of ancient monuments and palaces. Dayal Bagh, Rambagh, Chini Ka Rauza, etc are other attractions in Agra.

Ajanta and Ellora Caves are located near the city of Aurangabad in the state of Maharashtra. They are listed as UNSECO World Heritage sites. They attract tourists from all over the world with their rich cultural heritage and architecturally beautiful cave temples. Located in the state of Madhya Pradesh, the village of Khajuraho is an important place to visit in India. It attracts tourists from its architecturally beautiful temples. Temples here are intricately carved with exquisite sculptures. Some of exterior sculptures depict the sensual and erotic love poses. Khajuraho group of monuments is listed as UNESCO World Heritage site.

Located in the state of Orissa, Konark is also an important place to visit India. It is globally famous for its world heritage site – the Sun Temple.
