The resort neighborhood is quiet, only a few blocks from commercial office parks and other business-class hotels. You can drive to other attractions like downtown Miami, Coconut Grove, Biscayne Bay, Bayside, the international cruise port, Fischer Island, and South Beach.

Within a ten-minute drive is the fabulous Dolphin Mall, a huge retail complex swarming with internationals and locals on the weekends. Tourists can enjoy Dolphin attractions, including the bowling alley, movie theatre, outdoor bars, clubs, restaurants, and retail stores. Shoppers should not expect to find fashionable department stores like Macys or Dillards, but there are alternative chains like Marshalls, Ross, and Burlington Coat Factory. A popular eatery is the Cheesecake Factory, located near the food court.

Miami weather is typical of sub-tropical Florida. You might sweat if you choose self-parking and skip the Doral Country Clubs complementary shuttle service. With warm weather most of the year, you can relax at the beach or the pool any time. If you forget your swimsuit, buy one on the property.
