Pennywell Farm and Wildlife Centre near Buckfastleigh, features over 200 animals and has several events to keep you and your family entertained for the whole afternoon. The Big Sheep is another adventure spot, which has several hilarious and entertaining shows including the sheep racing, horse whispering, dog and duck trials and many more. The Miniature Pony Centre up on beautiful Dartmoor National Park is another farm to take your children – it is home to over 150 different animals including the famous miniature ponies and donkeys. There are so many beaches in Devon. Blackpool Sands is a good sheltered family beach with several water-based activities to keep you on your toes. Soak up the sun on the beautiful beaches and take amazing pictures with scenic background. Go kayaking here, build castles in the golden sand, or if you are feeling adventurous, go windsurfing. Other beaches worth visiting are Bantham, which is popular for surfing and Bigbury, which is ideal for scenic coastal working.
