The ski resorts of Silver Star and Big White are some of the biggest draws for skiers and snowboarders in BC. Big White is located just 56 km (35 mi) southeast of Kelowna and averages 750cm (25 ft) of powder yearly. Silver Star is located about 76 km (50 mi) north of Kelowna and can be reached via Okanagan Hwy 97 North.
