There are so many great reasons to visit Winter Park, it's hard to come up with a reason not to. All year long there are plenty of activities for anyone. Rent a beautiful luxury home and then hit the ski slopes in the winter, golf in the summer, or relax in the hot springs during any season. Here are the top ten reasons to visit Winter Park.

1. The Lodging is excellent and offers a variety of options. The area has many condo, townhome, and home rentals that offer economy to absolute luxury. Many amenities are offered at most Winter Park vacation rentals such as hot tubs, swimming pools, game rooms, and some are even pet friendly. Rentals are available at the base of the mountain so you can step right out onto the slopes or you can choose something downtown so whatever you need isn't far away.

2. The Ski Slopes: Between Winter Park Resort and SolVista Basin at Granby Ranch, there are over 3,000 acres of terrain in the area to take your skis or snowboard for a ride through some pristine powder. Winter Park gets more snow than any other area in Colorado. Whether you're an expert or only a beginner, there are many trails here for everyone.

3. Colorado Adventure Park offers a variety of super fun winter activities. Go tubing on a regular tube or a new advance airboard. Kids can enjoy some competition along a groomed track on snow scoots, also known as mini snowmobiles. Once your you re all tired out go for a horse-drawn sleigh ride and enjoy the Winter Park scenery with a nice hot cup of cocoa.

4. The Nordic Centers: The area boasts having some of the greatest cross country skiing trails in North America. The area has five public Nordic centers, Devil's Thumb, Snow Mountain Ranch, Sol Vista Basin, Grand Lake Nordic Center, and Williams Peak Ranch. Together the five Nordic centers combine for a total of 350 kilometers of groomed trails that are excellent for cross country skiing, skate skiing, and snowshoeing.

5. Four scenic golf courses with panoramic views lay in the Rocky Mountains surrounding Winter Park. Tee off among stately pines with a view of snowcapped mountains at Pole Creek, Grand Elk, Headwaters, or Grand Lake. Alpine Resorts offer excellent Stay and Play packages for golfers.

6. The Hot Springs: Only 30 minutes away is Hot Sulphur Springs Resort. If you're looking for a great way to relax head to the hot springs. Hot Sulphur Springs Resort offers 16 spa areas, private baths, and a lounge with a fireplace. Serenity and complete relaxation are sure to be found among the hot springs of the Rocky Mountains.

7. The Fishing: Colorado is home to some of the best trout fishing there is. In the summer head out on the lake and stay in the comfort of your own boat or put on some waders and try out flyfishing. Hire a guide to take you out when in need of a little more experience or just to learn the secrets of the area. Both wade and float fishing trips are available on the various rivers in the area – your choice!

8. The Hiking and Biking: In Winter Park you'll find and endless amount of trails for hiking and biking. Hike to the top of Byers Peak, Devils Thumb, Columbine Lake, or one of the many other trails here. From beginners to experts there are over 600 miles of mountain bike trails to choose from in the area.

9. The Rafting: Go for a ride down the Colorado River and enjoy a scenic rafting tour. The upper Colorado River offers Class II water and a few Class III rapids. Delight in a half day or even full day trip with family.

10. Snowmobiling: Take a trip up to the continental divide on a thrilling snowmobile adventure. Check out the amazing scenery as you ride through the crisp mountain air and miles of white glistening snow. After taking in the gorgeous scenery, there is plenty of time to explore the open terrain.
