GPS Tuner Atlas is an outdoor navigational software for windows mobile devices, with built-in Tele Atlas maps, raster maps, and user generated custom calibrated maps. GPS Tuner works with mobile devices that have a minimum RAM of 64 MB , and run Windows mobile 5 operating system and above. For touch screen displays, it requires a minimum storage space of 2GB (SD card, or internal flash memory), for map content. GPS Tuner is extremely reliable and is designed specifically for off road use. It has multiple compass views, built-in Tele Atlas maps, and large buttons that make this application very user friendly.

It has a simple interface, and is compatible with a wide range of mobile devices. It includes fast graphics, real satellite imagery with a Global coverage by DigitalGlobe, 3D Elevation, and additional detailed maps. It is a completely on-board application, and you do not need an internet connection or cell phone coverage in order to access your maps. Due to it's unique on-board satellite coverage you can use it almost anywhere on the planet. The Basic Map content will be the most accurate and up to date at all times, and you can select the map content you like from the available special maps like, topographic maps, trails, fishing locations, or ski slopes. You can also use it to calibrate any paper maps or raster based map images you own at your own convenience.

The GPS Tuner has 41 selectable trip computer tools, that you can use to record various metrics and stats. You can also save your tracks, share your tracks and routes with friends, and export or import GPX files with tracks of your choice. It has a speedometer with a speed limit warning, and six types of compass views. You can also push your track data into the Trip computer to get a full track analysis. Using the trip computer tools you can view, moving average speed, acceleration, max and min acceleration, Tilt, climb distance, climb time, descent rate, descent time, flat time, flat rate, deviation, Battery status, and many more.

It comes in very handy, in case you ever find yourself alone in the wilderness. You can send out your coordinates to any phone number, and call for help with just one tap of the screen. You can also add your photos, or wave files, and even share them with your friends. GPS Tuner supports WQVGA and WVGA screens, and supports portrait mode handheld screens with resolutions of 240x3230, 480x640, 480x800, and 240x400. The GPS Tuner Atlas has Digital Elevation topography data and TA maps for US, Canada, and Mexico, and Digital satellite imagery of North America. It also supports user generated custom maps.

It also gives you the option to select tool window size, and has 31 selectable Trip computer tools.
