If you are looking for an easy trail that the whole family will love, then visit Buffalo Park near Flagstaff, Arizona. This is a two mile loop that is mostly flat and offers several cool down stations where the kids can rest and cool off. The trail is kept in good condition. It is popular though so be on watch for hikers, bikers and dogs. The Dynamite trail near Scottsdale has some of the fastest singletrack in the state. Twenty miles of rolling terrain that is smooth can work up quite a speed. There are a lot of different trails to choose from that equal far more than the typical 20 miles listed. Just make sure to bring a map of the area and plenty of water in case you get a little too far out. The Greaterville Trails have something for everyone of every ability. You can choose from several trails of varying levels of difficulty. This is a great place to practice and train for different types of biking all at the same place. These trails are somewhat secluded too which makes it a great place to have some solitude and ride just for fun. Submarine Rock Trail is located near beautiful Sedona, Arizona. This desert trail will keep you on your toes. It offers plenty of dirt, sand, rocks and even some slickrock. The views along this trail are pretty awesome too. Get ready to work out your leg muscles on the Sunset Trail near Flagstaff. This trail is a long steady seven mile climb that will take you to an elevation 2000 feet over where you started. The hard work to get to the top will be totally worth it when you fly back down the trail. If you are an experienced rider, you will love the 345-347 loop near Prescott. This is a challenging ten mile loop with a steep climb and awesome descent. This trail puts boulders in your path and features technical sections that are curvy and rocky along with dry sandy washes and wet creek crossings. Be prepared to pay a $5 fee if you get on the trail at Granite Mountain recreation area. This is a beautiful area to go biking but it is especially pretty in the spring when the wildflowers are in bloom. The southern half of Arizona has national forests with some of the best bike trails in the state. These are often overlooked but shouldn't be missed. These trails are great for biking and viewing nature and local wildlife. If you ride for fun, adventure, or to train, you will find the perfect bike trail to suit you in Arizona.
