Getting a CCTV system for your property is an incredibly important way to keep it protected and to keep it under surveillance. However that said, it is still not something that everyone thinks to invest in, and something that some people and businesses think (erroneously) that they can do without. First of all, if you have no security camera in sight you will not be deterring anybody from your property. The great thing about CCTV surveillance is that it not only works to capture people on film who trespass, but also to dissuade many people from trespassing in the first place. That is to say that if they see the security camera they decide to move on to easier fish to fry. If your building has no camera visible, then chances are that the other buildings on the street do. This then means that they move on from those buildings until they find yours – you have essentially made your property the hottest target on the block. Then at the same time they can be a lot more careful about breaking into your property as they only need to be worried about being seen by passers by – which if it's late at night and/or dark will not be a highly likely threat. This then means that they can go around to the back of your property and work essentially undisturbed on your property. Most buildings these days use a CCTV system that is linked to your alarms or some kind of VoIP (voice internet protocol) meaning that someone caught on camera will set off alarms or alert a security specialist agency. This of course is not the case if you have no CCTV surveillance so the only way they are going to be scared away by an alarm is if they are clumsy enough to trigger it while opening your door. If they know what they're doing then this will be unlikely and thus you will have no warning that it is happening either.Once they've made off with your belongings the worst thing is that you will then have very few leads to go on. Normally you would have caught some footage of the perpetrators on the security camera and this would serve as evidence that the police could use in order to track them down. However without a camera they would have very little evidence to go on and would be unable to track them down as effectively. Once the criminals were found this would also leave you with less evidence to use in court. This would all mean that you were much less likely to get your belongings back, meaning that the robbery would do much worse damage to your organisation and your capital. For all these reasons then, a building with a security camera is a highly superior one, and it is highly important for the success of your company that you invest.
