At the same time, when larger SD cards then come out in the future, you will be able to expand your memory further and thus keep up with the very latest devices.

Though having an expansion slot gives you further use for your device. For instance it will right away allow you to store other files on your phone and that way use it like a portable hard drive. This also means that you will have the ability to use your file manager from your PC – which is very useful as some smartphones such as the iPhone do not come with one meaning that you can't fix bugs yourself or add or delete individual files etc.

This will make it much easier to add music to your phone or to take it off, or to otherwise use your phone more intuitively and quickly.
