Men's Suits Fabrics - Which One Suits You?
The first question that a tailor would ask you when you want to buy a suit is the fabric. Some men don?t even realize it but fabrics for men?s suits can draw the difference and one of the factors that are important in buying a suit. Choosing the right fabric for your suit can either make you love the suit that suits you or it could just be another suit that's a waste of money.
There are many fabrics that you can choose from when buying men's suits. Linen, polyester, wool, cotton and cashmere are just some of the materials and usually the materials used to make up a suit. For some men, these are alien language and they don?t even know how to tell the difference from one another except when they read it on the tag. But if you are serious about buying a great suit that is well worth your money then knowing the right fabric in a suit is the first step.
Cashmere suits are extremely soft and most likely the most comfortable among all the fabrics for men?s suits. If you live in are with rapid climate change then this is a good fabric to consider because it has the tendency to insulate you depending in the moisture on the air. The drawback of this fabric is the price. Tweed suits are heavy and durable. This type of material is best used for cold places and often makes a great winter suit because it is resistant to water. For some people however, the coarse feel of the fabric is a turn off and would rather have a fabric that is more comfortable.
Silk suits can be considered as a luxury for many. It is very rare to come across men's silk suits in some retail stores that sell suits. Sometimes you have to have it custom made which is not advisable because tailors will charge you a large amount since the material can be hard to work with. But the silk is extremely smooth and cool to touch, its also great for clubbing because of its shimmer. It's among one of the most expensive in men?s suits.
If you want a machine washable suit and something that is light then linen suit is the one for you. This one is cost effective because you don?t have to have it cleaned by a dry cleaner. However a linen suit can wrinkle easily and can soon lead to damage.
For a fabric that is soft, warm and no ironing necessary then seersucker suits will be best. You can also machine wash this suit but it does have a tendency to shrink when you use a dryer. You will often find seersucker suits in bright color which is a disadvantage for many.
These are just some of the few fabrics that you can choose from when it comes to men's suits. There are other more suits of other fabric. Choose your fabric wisely as it will mean choosing a suit wisely.
