Article Written By: clientarticles@seoarbiter.com

Add Your Picture During the summer, tanned skin is in. You will surely get it even if you are not sunbathing. Today, one can get a tan in a number of ways. One can get a tan by using tanning lotions or by doing it the natural way like sunbathing. Sunbathing is the cheapest way to get a tan but it s also the most harmful because of the sun s UV rays.

If you have very light or pale skin, it's best to avoid getting a tan under the sun because it will cause you to get freckles and will reduce the amount of collagen in your skin. Another thing, sunbathing can cause sunburn which will require you to use lotions to prevent rashes.

Another downside to sunbathing is, it does not give you an even effect. The only upside to sunbathing is that the sun is our only real provider of vitamin D. Vitamin D is crucial in our system simply because it stimulates calcium absorption in our body.

You might want to consider getting a tan using tanning products if you hate getting sunburned or uneven tan. Tanning products effect can be achieved for a shorter time. There is no definite duration when a tan is expected to last because it depends on a case to case basis.

There are products that will last for about two weeks while some are good for only a day or two and can be washed with soap easily. These products will guarantee to give you an even tan that's why you will be better off using them.

These products are risk-free because you do not get sunburned and you are not directly exposing yourself to UV rays. Today, bronzing powders, tanning lotions and airbrush tanning products are just a few of the many tanning products available in the market today. These products will give you the same result as being under the sun for a few hours. No one will be able to tell the difference whether you got your tan from sunbathing or from tanning products.

However, before getting a tan, you need to consider the color of your skin. Getting a sun glow will be ideal for those who have a darker skin tone. However, you may want to use tanning products if you really have a light complexion or a really pale skin.
