Many popular songs hitting the airwaves discuss the star status of owning a private plane, the luxuries involved, and how it is one of the ultimate millionaire toys. For example one that many may be familiar with is a song titled, Like a G6 written and performed by the band Far East Movement, which talks about the famous G6 plane. Similarly teen pop singer Jesse McCartney had a song like this, which was an instant hit among the younger generations.Though the price tag for owning such a lavish form of transportation is exceedingly high, multi-millionaires not only have to fork over the funds for the plane itself but must also posses enough cash to pay for the aircraft engine parts when in need of repair, a pilot, maintenance, fuel, etc. Thus much like owning a vehicle, the expenses do not stop once the car is driven off the lot; though this example is rather miniscule in comparison to purchasing an aircraft.Flying is an enjoyable experience, and perhaps because of this, wealthy individuals choose to allocate their funds into such an investment. Many well known stars own their own private planes such as multi-billionaire Donald Trump, John Travolta whom became a certified pilot, and singing sensation Paul McCartney. Thus the ownership of an aircraft has truly become a symbol for high socioeconomic status. The Mercedes, million dollar homes, and yacht will no longer cut it. One not only needs to worry about garage space for the luxury vehicles, but must also invest in a hanger to hold an airplane. Thus, when fantasizing about making it big, or winning the large lottery jackpot, one of things that need to be added on the purchasing list is an aircraft. The notion of being whisked away to any destination, at any time, by simply requesting so is an indication of true power and social hierarchy. Not only this, but not having to deal with the hustle and aggravating processes at airports, and eliminating the uncomfortable seating arrangements on many economic flights, may be well worth the investment to many. Years ago to show true achievement in the socioeconomic hierarchy one would purchase elegant mansions, and cruise around in luxury and pricey spots vehicles. But now the standards have been purchased a bit further. No longer are expensive getaway trips year round, enormous yachts, and palatial multiple houses sufficient enough. Now, one must purchase their own aircraft.
