My favorite personal development tool is my Ipod. Anyone who is serious about changing their life needs to invest in an mp3 player of some sort. I recommend the Ipod. Why do you need an mp3 player? It can hold thousands of songs that can be organized and best of all, it's portable.andnbsp; I find the Ipods are very easy to manage and use compared to other makes. I set everything up on my computer, which is easier than with little tiny buttons. I try to set up many different play lists with different themes. For example, I have a weight loss play list, a stop procrastinating play list, and be present play list among others.andnbsp; I listen to these mp3s whenever I get the chance. Right before bed I use listen to a relaxing type like hypnosis, or something else quiet and that doesn't require a lot of thought or concentration. This helps me relax and fall asleep easily. I usually setup a play list that last only 2-3 mp3s. That way it will just turn itself off when it's done and I don't waste the batteries.
When purchasing my Ipod, I decided to get the video one. I think it's worth the difference in price. I've downloaded Oprah's web casts that she recorded with Eckhart Tolle on his book andquot;A New Earth.andquot; I usually watch them when I am in a waiting room of some sort, or as a passenger in a vehicle on a long trip.andnbsp; Actually it also came in handy when I had my last baby. I put some movies on it for my husband, and while I was patiently waiting to have the baby, my husband could watch movies. Also, after the little girl came into this world, it was nice to keep us occupied while waiting to be discharged. Another great time when it was convenient was when I had car trouble and had to wait hours for rescuing in the middle of no where. I was able to watch Oprah and Eckhart chat it up. It could have been a terrible experience, but turned out to be a nice quiet time for mewhich isn't often. Driving to and from work proved to be another good time to slow my mind and relax. If you are like me, my drive home from work used to consist of going over what I did, and trying to organize my time for the next morning. When I went to sleep at night, all I could think about was work. I wanted it to end and I wanted to help make myself a better person. Before my personal development days, it would take me at least an hour, if not two to get to sleep at night. My mind was always racing; usually about work. When I did fall asleep, I would dream about work. First thing in the morning, when I wake upI thought about work. I kept thinking andquot;STOP, STOP, I have more important things to think about.andquot; Now, it takes me less than 10 minutes to fall asleep. From the time I lay my head down, to deep sleep. I am so happy. I get a better night sleep and wake up happier in the morning. I have changed my life for the better. For more personal development information, please visit http://carriespry.com
