The moral character of the person is in question here wherein he or she should not have been fired for some reason like theft for one and quitting without good cause is also a disadvantage. People who work independently, may it be as business owners or those who work on a per project basis, are not qualified for unemployment compensation under the compensation law. Is there such a thing as a good cause for quitting any employment option? These good cause could be leaving a job due to unsafe working conditions, harassment, or refusing to do anything illegal. A spouse finding employment out of the state is a good reason that will still qualify a person to seek unemployment benefits. A job might be left to take care of family members who are ill and it is also possible to leave a job for military service. Each worker needs some information pertaining to how the compensation law is being applied in his or her area of work. Most countries applying the compensation law pays for twenty six weeks of benefits for the unemployed person. Some other elements of the compensation agreement are that the person should be willing to work and is actively looking for work while settlements are being given to him or her. The presence of an available compensation should entice people to work hard.
