Different places in Australia have different traditions, so people who want to migrate to Australia should try to find these out. Perth is quite a slow city. Almost all shops are shut on Sundays! This may come as a huge shock to some people, that nothing is open aside fast food places, so they need to plan well ahead and do all shopping before the weekend, or on Saturday.

Some people think it's a good thing though, because it is relevant to family values, that people should be doing something with their lives on a Sunday, such as sports or hobbies, rather than just shopping. People who are looking for a visa for Australia have a lot of time. And money willing, they can take a holiday to Australia to look round first.

A lot of migrants go to one city and settle there, without even looking at the other options. People can think about not taking other holidays or combining some other expenditure into one Australian holiday. One problem for British people may be the awful currency of the pound, which could actually tell them that Australia is the future, with a strong economy, strong currency, and bright outlook for society.

If people think they can't sell their house to make the move to Australia, then what does that tell them? People in South Africa may also have reasons to leave - for example the massive levels of crime. They might think it's normal, but other people might think it's totally ridiculous to stay living in a country with a lot of crime. Even though some peopple say that it has changed or improved, the hard facts speak for themself - there is a lot of crime there, it can't just be denied.

So to get a visa for Australia will mean more than a visa, but it will also mean escaping somewhere with high crime, and going to a country in which you can walk around the streets and feel safe, and your family can factually have a better and bright future.
