As far as having a sitemap on your website is concerned, I really can’t think of a reason that it would ever be a bad thing. It reminds me of something that will remain timeless in its existence. I can’t really think of too many examples of where a person that ended up at a website wasn’t looking for a very easy and organized way of finding the category that they wanted.

You can ask them what they think would be a great idea when it comes to the flow of the traffic as a first timer that isn’t zoomed into the website on a daily basis as much as you are.
When you’re the one main person that makes the most changes in the website, sometimes it’s easy to get lost in the vision of what you want the first time customer to have as a first impression when they first arrive. This is why it’s good every week, month or quarter to ask others and what their opinions are of the flow of the website.
I can tell you that one great idea to find out more information about your website is to install a feedback module of some sort into your wordpress based blog or what ever you may have. I’ve seen many websites with a simple tab that sticks out from the side that is titled feedback and it simply slides out at you in a very nice way for you to quickly comment.
Allowing others to comment on your site in a very easy and painless way is how you will know if you are meeting the needs of your clients. As with keeping with the simpleness of your website and how a person can flow from one thing to the next, it’s good to remember that same theme here.
You can probably see how easy it is to navigate a website just by going to craigslist dot com. This is a pretty good example of how there are virtually no advertisements really to speak of, it only has many keyword phrases that will simply and essentially take you where you are looking to go.
There isn’t always going to be one clear cookie cutter type way that will fit into every website. Many times you may find yourself developing your own special, custom brew that you implement into your way of living that works best for you. I know that there are many webmasters out there who just remember many things in there head about what it is that they know will bring out the best in the website via optimization.
What it all really boils down to in the end is that it’s your website with your mission and culture attached to it, and if you’re happy with the direction that it’s taking off and moving in, then its all good.
