One of the strategies you could employ is to encourage your users to market your products, goods or services to their other friends and family. You can do this by giving them incentives to market to other people. You can inform them through emails that they get a certain percentage discount whenever they recommend a new user to your products, goods or services.

For new users who have just logged onto your website, you can offer different incentives to motivate them to subscribe to your emails and newsletters. You need to be convincing and persistent when it comes to email marketing. You want to keep trying to persuade the user to become a subscription member but you also don't want to put them off with incessant emails and newsletters.

One effective way of being persistent and persuasive without being annoying is to offer informative and useful messages. You need to analyze your user and decide on which information would keep them engaged and persuade them to continue subscribing to your information. Take into consideration the demographic of most of your users and you will be able to identify a need and satisfy it with information or advice.

Email marketing requires just as much if not more effort as traditional marketing because you need to work harder to keep your users coming back to your website. However, if you have a great product then you will have many users interested in your website and if they subscribe to your emails then you have created loyalty in them.

You also need to constantly update your website so that users have something new to see and read each time they log onto the site. If you don't work regularly to update your site, then you are likely to bore users and eventually lose them.
