But before moving further you need to decide which type fits your needs and your home the best. They are made of different material like steel, copper, aluminum or vinyl. There are pros and cons to each type of material. You'll want to do some research and decide which one is right for you before you shop.

The guttering system is also divided into various types for different purpose.

The rain gutter is the most commonly used guttering system and it is very effecting to protect the home from water. An important thing to keep in mind when installing rain gutters is that they should be positioned so that the edge of the roof is exactly over the first half of the gutter. This will grab all types of rainfall from a heavy, gushing fall to a slim spring shower. The most significant advantage of installing rain gutters is, it keeps the rain water away from the foundation of the house as much as possible giving a longer life to your home and happiness.

Once the gutter is installed successfully, now the only task left is its maintenance. We have to maintain a check list of below given points for the gutters twice years:

• Inspect the gutters for any sections that may be sagging

• Look for holes in them.

• Be sure to keep them clean and free of debris.

• Check the hangers to make sure that they are firmly attached to your gutters.
