-- Walnut Floorings – For A Dark And Exquisite Look For Your Room

Walnut flooring gives a warm and inviting look to a home. There are two types of walnut flooring: American and European. This flooring is ideal for office, studies, libraries, and other areas where a warm ambiance is required. Engineered flooring is a type of modern material of flooring which imitates the traditional hardwood flooring boards and looks exactly like their traditional counterparts but have several advantages over traditional system of flooring.

These floorings are composite materials made up of several layers of high density or medium density plywood or fiberboard with an outer layer of real hardwood. The fiber-board and plywood layers of these floorings are built by stacking individual ply’s or layers in opposite directions from each other, providing strength to the floorings and eliminating contraction and expansion.

These kinds of floorings are available in huge varieties of natural timbers like traditional white and red oaks, ash, maple and the modern exotic hardwood is being used from around the world.

With such a wide array of various timbers available in the market, the home owners are now able to find products of engineered flooring in accordance with their individual preferences and tastes complimenting with the decorating scheme of their homes.

Some of the major benefits of this flooring are:

• This flooring can even be used in areas like damp places or areas where the flooring is exposed to excessive heat where traditional flooring of hardwood could not be used. On exposure to radiant heat and moisture, the traditional hardwood used to cup or warp but the engineered flooring has been constructed in such a way that it will not shrink or enlarge on exposure to humidity changes. For this reason, it is also ideal for being laid in basements and even on terraces.

• Most of these floorings are fully coated or finished which means that the buyers have no need to coat or sand them before use. It is only a matter of few hours when you can install your flooring in your room, move back the furniture and start using the room again with an entire new look and feel.

• Laying it is quite easy which makes it an ideal DIY product saving you money needed for installation.

• This kind of flooring may be stapled, nailed, glued or installed as if it is floating flooring. Floating flooring requires a moisture blockade which is usually available in the form of foam lining which is placed upon the floor and then the engineered flooring is placed directly upon it. As it is not stick, it may be easily removed or shifted from one place to another.

• It looks the same as traditional flooring of hardwood and gives the same ambiance and rich warmth to the room, and that too at much lower cost.

• Some floorings are built with a wear layer or thick upper layer which can be refinished and sanded in future for removing any wear and tear and renewing the flooring.

• They are available in various different sizes, grain patterns, styles and timber species.

These are the reasons why engineering flooring is being used around the world extensively in preference to the solid wood keeping in view its durability. The fact that it does not cup or warp makes it even more popular and preferred material for the customers.
