Bamboo and other cane window blinds are rolled or pleated. They can add a tropical look to a room; however, they do let in some light and can be seen through. It is best to use these in rooms where you do not need a lot of privacy.

Venetian blinds are among the nicest variety of vertical blinds as you can find them in a greater number of styles. And they are also easy to adjust for letting in more or less light. Some materials are quite affordable as well.

Once you figure out what you need your window blinds to do for you, you can start looking fro the right ones. There are many choices to make in terms of styles, colors and sizes. There is nothing to worry about if you have an odd sized window and cannot find blinds to fit. There are many manufacturers that can custom make the window blinds for your windows.

Whatever style and material you choose, it will be quite easy to find vertical blinds that fit your room decor as well as your budget. They have truly come a long way from the day they were first installed in your college apartment.
