There are many attractive finishes that can be achieved on stone paving but some of these could disappear after a few years of heavy traffic. Heavily textured finishes such as punched or chiselled are ideal for areas where additional traction is required but can be too rough for pedestrians and garden furniture. Honed or smooth finishes are much more suitable for pathways and patios where you need flat surfaces for furniture and there is heavy pedestrian traffic.

Although stone paving can be more expensive than concrete alternatives it can offer a number of benefits and can enhance the look of your property.
