Summer is in full swing and that means barbeques, swimming pools, warm weather and, of course all of that means yard work. Your yard took a beating all winter long and now it is time to get it back into shape. There are usually fallen branches to be removed, patches of lawn that need to be reseeded and weeds. Getting your yard attractive and fit for summer can be a lot of work, but the rewards are great. Your outdoor living space can provide a place of refuge and is a great way to keep the kids busy while they are out of school so they aren't in the house making a mess and playing video games all day.There are a lot of supplies that you will need to get your yard ready for summer. On the other hand, you could call in a professional landscaper and have them get your yard prepped and ready. They could do the job in a fraction of the time it would take you. All you would have to do is come home from work and relax because all the yard clean-up, cutting, trimming, reseeding and best of all, weeding would already be taken care of.Otherwise, you have your work cut out for you. Make sure to purchase enough large trash bags that are designed for outdoor waste materials like cut grass, branches and leaves. Many cities compost these and they must be place curbside in the appropriate bags according to your local codes. You will also need a good pair of work gloves before you begin. Once the excess debris and leaves have been cleaned up and removed before you cut and trim your grass, so you can assess what work needs to be done to your lawn. You will be able to see any uneven areas that need seeding at this point.Next, you should rake any dead leaves and leftover bedding material from your flower beds and begin to weed them. New bedding material should be added each year for a fresh look. New plants and flowers should be added according to your frost season and your perennials may need to be pruned to grow properly. There is just so much that needs to be done in order to get your yard ready for summer and looking lush and green to everyone around!
