The first thing you need to do is identify where the problem is coming from. Strip off all bedding and check the mattress over for any live bugs or eggs, also search inside the seams. When checking it’s important also to look at the areas around the bed, such as the bed frame and headboard, skirting boards, wallpaper joints and any furniture next to the bed. Look out for products that contain natural pyrethrum if you really want to get rid of those pests once and for all but are also concerned about the environment. Organic insect killer sprays such as 0a2ki are based completely on concentrated natural plant extracts of food grade quality and proven to be safe to humans and pets. Free from pesticides, they can be used to control most types of common flying and crawling insects and are effective at all growth stages including larva, pupa and eggs.
Special mattress covers can be purchased to protect against bed bugs, they help to protect the bugs spreading and the infestation getting out of control. You can find them for sale online, they are also suitable for dust mites, mold and bacteria. A mattress cover will prevent you from having to waste the time and money on throwing out your old mattress when it can merely be treated and covered.
Using electrical products for pest control is emerging as a popular method. They are favoured by householders due to their simplicity of use and removing the need for sprays, powders or any kind of chemicals. Safe to use, they can be effective against all kinds of pests and are powered from the mains or battery operated.
