Massage Equipment and Portable Spa: Health and Wellness redefined

Massage is the practice of soft tissue manipulation having physical, functional and psychological purposes and goals. It involves acting on and manipulating the body with pressure, tension, motion, or vibration, done manually or with mechanical aids. Target tissues may include muscles, tendons, ligaments, skin, joints, or other connective tissue, as well as lymphatic vessels, or organs of the gastrointestinal system. Massage can be applied with the hands, fingers, elbows, knees, forearm, and feet.

Life for a massage therapist can be fast paced and limitless. He must enjoy helping others learn to slow down and improve their lives by introducing them to alternative medicine. As of late, the public demand for massage has been dramatically high. A certified massage therapist who is adept at using massage equipment can land rewarding work in various environments including a massage therapy clinic. However, employment opportunities also exist in chiropractic offices, with professional athletes or sports teams, in spas, nursing homes, hospitals, health clubs and if you want to travel - aboard cruise ships. If you plan to open your massage therapy business you will need loads of massage equipment to provide clients with the basic comfort levels.

This basic set of massage equipment includes a massage stool, a massage table, a towel cabinet, a well furnished reception area, massage oils, massage creams, massage lotions, towels and spa garments, candles, relaxation audio and video CDs and healing stones. In case you want to upgrade your massage facility, you may also want to purchase more massage equipment including adjustable headrests, armrests, table side extensions, foot rests, neck bolsters, electric table warmers, massage cushions etc.

If you plan to make your massage business mobile, you will require a set of portable massage equipment which includes a portable massage table, portable massage chair or desktop massage chair (depending on your preference and clientele), a table or chair carry case and a large, reliable vehicle to transport it all.

A spa portable is sometimes referred to as a self contained spa. It has established itself as the leader in the spa market for a simple reason; it is easy to use and install and yet provides awesome service. Another reason is the "complete package" a spa portable can offer, which comes in a variety of ways, depending on the manufacturer. A portable spa is powered by one or two pumps that have huge horsepower. Some of them are equipped with air blowers that inject air into the spa by fittings that have been installed in the seats and floor of the spa shell. They can be wired for 220 or 110 volts and come in a beautifully wrapped wooded skirt with the spa cover thrown in.

Also portable spa is surprisingly affordable and accommodates itself in the budget of most middle class families. It is very safe equipment too. Every portable spa has a recirculation system with an automatic vacuum breaking mechanism for preventing objects, such as small children, from becoming lodged at the discharge opening at the bottom of the spa.
