- It is a good idea for diabetics to carry a supply of snacks with you. Because most of the time the food served in planes or trains is not hygienic for diabetics. And also the mostly deal in fast food type stuff.

- Make certain that your health insurance company cover your medical expenses on your foreign tours as well.

- Always take advice from your diabetes educators before leaving on a trip. Inform him that you have to cross two or more times zones during your travel.

- Whenever going on a trip take help from the American Diabetes Association or the International Diabetes Federation to get the information about endocrinologists or diabetes educators in areas where you will travel. - On your tours, avoid being a victim of diarrhea or severe motion sickness. Rely on unpeeled fruits and vegetables or any uncooked food.

- On your trips, monitor your blood glucose twice as often you do back at home. Travel stress, mixed up eating habits and eating times, changing time zones all are responsible for blood glucose fluctuations. So you need to have a tight check of things.
