Don t adjust insulin dosage on your own, let this work done by your doctor because he or she rightly knows when and how much dose is required by your body.

If non-diabetic women require such amount of insulin, you can think of the condition of diabetic women quite easily. whenever there is in sufficient supply of nutrients and other chemicals which are necessary to keep body activities going, body begins to use the stored deposits of these nutrients and chemicals to fulfill the needs of the fetus other requirements of pregnant women s body. The body begins to convert available sugar and fat into energy and stored protein will be used to feed fetus eventually the body begins to become weak and become more prone to ketoacidosis.

It is not insulin only that will be required by the body. Your body will also need calories, carbohydrates and protein in sufficient amount to fulfill the body s requirement. To achieve all this, a diabetic woman has to keep a good balance between food intake and physical activity along with proper dosage of insulin medication.
