Although this may seem unnecessary, there are many webmasters who, having few categories and subcategories, would show them all together in the sidebar rather than in collapsed view.

To achieve this result the procedure is the following:

1) In your admin area goto EDIT TEMPLATES and under the UNIVERSAL items select the
    Category Tree

2) In the Edit PHP Code (advanced) replace the whole code in it with the code in the attached txt file:



3) Change the code ul class="popular" with your own stylesheet ul class

4) Click the UPDATE button

that's it. Now you can see all the categories and subcategories in the category tree

this is really useful, especially for the sites with 5 or 6 main categories and 4 or 5 subcategories.
