Water Filters Are Essential Kitchen Appliances

As fresh clean water is vital to our survival it is necessary for us to drink a minimum of 64 fl oz each and every day. With some parts of our bodies being as much as 90% water (such as the liver) the lack of clean water can very quickly cause severe damage. Nearly all drinking water supplies need to be treated before being pumped into the home. Huge industrial water filters remove huge amounts of organic matter and other processes ensure our drinking water is safe to drink. Or is it? Most of planet earth is covered by water but there are many regions that suffer a lack of it. In these areas the water that is available is often polluted and infected with bacteria and other organisms. In such places water filters are often the only way in which a person can obtain water clean enough to drink. However it is both surprising and upsetting that there are still a great many places that suffer from the lack of adequate water filtering equipment.
In western society many water companies operate under strict guidelines and laws which govern the quality of the water which they supply. Most legislation refers to the levels of organic matter such as bacteria and some refers to chemicals. Unfortunately some chemicals are added to our drinking water. Fluoride is added to help combat tooth decay and another additive is aluminum. As more of us become aware of these added substances more and more purchase water filters to remove them. Aluminum is a poison, a well known and very dangerous poison. Although no causal relationship has been found between aluminum and Alzheimer's disease there appears to be a growing amount of circumstantial evidence linking the two. Over the last decade or so there have been claims and counter claims on the causes of Alzheimer's disease which often make reference to aluminum. Fluoride is another chemical, found in water supplies, which is known to be poisonous. Strangely, if you read the back of many toothpastes on the market today you will notice the warnings against consumption of it, even in the smallest amounts. Even though it is added to water to help fight tooth decay what real evidence exists that supports this claim? The two substances mentioned above are only two of a great many substances which can be found in drinking water. With so many health scares and the need to look after ourselves by ensuring that we only eat healthy foods is it any wonder that many of us now use water filters for our drinking water. Some people are so afraid that they have massive systems installed to filter all of the household water. There are various types of equipment available to clean water. Some are really cheap whereas some (mainly those of industrial scale) can cost a small fortune. However most of us can afford at least one of the small jug water filters which are available widely at very reasonable prices. Of course there are many advantages to using a water filter and we have only listed two of the great many chemicals which these amazing gadgets can remove. One of the most enjoyable aspects of using a water filter is the fact that you will immediately notice how much better the water tastes, not only on it's own but even in hot drinks. You will eventually become used to the lovely new flavor but whenever you taste unfiltered water again you will be horrified at how disgusting it is and you will wonder why you ever drank it in the first place.About the Author
