These beans are dark green on the outside and dark yellow on the inside. These beans are used either split or ground. They can also be used as a whole or peeled. Mung beans are commonly soft and sweet for those who have never eaten them. They are also easy on the stomach in that they do not cause indigestion. When learning how to cook there are various methods you can use including making in fried cakes, in making noodles as well as sprouting.

By sprouting mung beans the greens that will be grown will be used for fresh salads and this will contain Vitamin C. sprouts also do no grow for long as they are mostly about 2 inches and they can be eaten raw, steamed or slightly boiled. There are several recipe ideas that you can use when you want to cook mung beans. One of these is they stew which is a delicious vegan recipe that many people will love. This meal is good for those people who have allergies for wheat and dairy products. It will take approx 30 minutes to prepare and approx 1 hour to cook this dish.

You will be required to have several ingredients when cooking this dish and this will include ? cup raw mung, 5 peeled and quartered potatoes, 1 peeled and chopped onion, 1 tablespoon canola oil, 2 cups vegetable stock, 5 sliced button mushrooms, 2 sliced stalks celery, 2 sliced carrots as well as slat and pepper. The first step in making this dish will be to preheat your oven at 400 degrees Fahrenheit. You should then use a saucepan to cook the mung with water. The heat should be at medium high and wait till the water boils.

The beans should then be cooked for 10 more minutes after the water boils and then drain the rest of the water and rinse them using cold water. You should then take another saucepan to boil the potatoes with and also add ? teaspoon of salt. After the water has boiled cook the potatoes for an additional 10 minutes and this is while simmering until they become tender. The water that remains should then be drained and the potatoes set aside. Take another skillet and heat oil at medium heat.

Proceed to add onions which should be sauted until they are transparent. The mushrooms, celery and carrots should then be added and cook until they are tender. The stock should then be poured and also seasoned with salt and pepper. This should then cook for 5 more minutes. You should then take an oven proof casserole for poring in the sauce, the mung beans and also the potatoes and then cover the casserole. This should then take about 30 minutes to bake.
