Stocks Trading: Choosing Winning Penny Stocks
Penny stocks are a great way to make money through investing as long as you are willing to take the many great risks associated with trading them. Most people who call themselves day traders invest in penny stocks because they require a very small initial investment and their return can sometimes be more then 150%. Of course this will not always occur, but it is fairly common.
The thing that anyone needs to keep in mind when investing in penny stocks is that for starters, they are not regulated like the larger stocks available through the exchanges. Secondly, they are an over the counter trade and do not appear on the major indices. They are very risky and without the proper regulation, their information can be easily manipulated to appear as if they are better then they really are.
Choosing winning penny stocks is an entirely different story. It is something that takes time, patience and experience to become highly profitable. Some people just seem to be born with the natural ability to pick the winners, while others may never be able to find the right one. It is only when you are able to pick winners constantly that you can make a good income through penny stocks.
Of course many people ask where to find some form of list of penny stocks. Unfortunately this is not actually possible because on a daily basis these small time companies fold and go under which makes keeping and maintaining any form of list a virtually impossible task. The best way to find the penny stocks which are available is to sign up through an online broker who offers them.
Keep in mind that not all online brokers actually allow you to trade in penny stocks mainly because of the high risks involved. However, most of them do allow it and all you have to do is ask prior to opening an account. Once you have an actual open account, you will be able to see the penny stock lists which are available through that broker. Just remember, that in most cases you will have to sign up as they are not available through their free trading demo.
In the end though, when you have made the decision that you are ready to invest in penny stocks and are willing to accept the risks associated with trading them, you will soon begin to see just how profitable they truly can be. But make sure that you take the time to learn how to properly research and pick the winning stocks or otherwise you are just throwing your money away.
