Due to inflation, clients are buying larger policies and these larger policies offer you, as the agent larger profits. This factor helps to adjust your income for inflation also. Thus selling new policies to new clients is in your own best interest.

There are several ways in which you will be able to find leads for your insurance business. First, you will want to contact your current clients and offer them updates on their current coverage. Once again, due to inflation, current clients may be under-insured and will appreciate your efforts to provide them up to date coverage. Continual contact may help you to keep those customers.

Additionally, if you have satisfied customers, you are likely to get some referrals. You may get a few more of these referrals if you offer current customers a finder's fee for referring friends. Just remember a satisfied customer rarely tells anyone. An unsatisfied customer tells everyone.

You will also pick up a few leads through your advertisement in the yellow pages or newspapers. This shotgun approach to generating leads may bring in a few live leads each month.

The best way to find leads is to purchase the leads. There are companies that will advertise looking for persons that want to purchase insurance. These companies are designed to give you the lead almost immediately after the person fills out a web form and you are likely to be able to sell a policy almost immediately to the person. These companies offer nationwide advertising, but allow you to chose where the leads you want come from.
