Third party insurance policies offer less protection and accordingly cost less money. Before you decide to get a third party insurance policy, however, bear in mind that a basic policy will only cover for costs connected to damage to any other cars and any other people (including your passengers). If your car is written off, you will not get a pay out, nor will you receive money if your car is stolen. Of course if you choose to get a third party, fire and theft then you will get a payout if your car is stolen. Third party fire and theft is a third party policy with a couple of additional features (unsurprisingly, cover for fire, or the theft of your car). Getting a good deal on insurance is about knowing what you want, looking through all the other bits and pieces that come attached.
