Good skills in verbal and written communication can help them to properly convey information. Using detail when taking notes and describing suspects can be helpful to police. If the site is computerized, knowledge of how to use the equipment is necessary.Security guards may at times be required to respond to situations like medical emergencies, or at least be in charge of the situation until professional help arrives. In an emergency, being able to describe the situation, such as injuries, is very helpful. Training in first aid and CPR can also help an officer assist people in these situations.A professional security staff can help businesses prevent loss and deter criminal activity on their premises. To provide the best protection possible, up to date and comprehensive training should be a part of any guards employment. It not only helps to protect the business, but the guard as well.
