Below are the three basic uses of grass: Grass, first and foremost, can be used as a food. Examples are corn, rice and other starchy foods. We eat them daily but we don't know that we aer actually eating grass. Another example is the sugarcane. This is processed and converted into sugar. In other words, not only farm animals eat grass. We, people, also do. Therefore, because grass can be made into many types of foods, growing them is essential.
We commonly see grasses in lawns and gardens. Grass has a lot of variations and landscapers consider the environment and the kind of soil when choosing which grass to grow. Growing grass of this kind is simple because this type grows instantly. On top of that, there's grass grown for special purposes in gardening such as the marsh grass which is used to create a tropical effect.
Grasses are also used to produce brooms, decorations, textile and others. Today, people are making money out of it. The most important use of grass is that it can help our environment. It prevents soil erosion or, at least, minimizes its effects. This is how helpful and useful grass is. Though they look simple, but their contributions are significant especially to our daily lives.
Your grass craves periodic feedings, and it is best to meet this need for periodic feedings by fertilizing lawns with "slow-release" products. You'll find such products at local home improvement stores, such as Lowe's and Home Depot.
Because these products release their nutrients over time, rather than all at once, fertilizing lawns with them allows the grass to "eat" at its own leisure. As nutrients are released, the root system of your grass fills in any bare patches, depriving weed seeds of a place to germinate.
Learning how to plant grass seed and creating beautiful landscapes is important. To achieve this, you need to understand the lawn fertilizing products and select the best one for the grass' growth.
