With all the people who want to take part of the Mardi Gras each year going there can be quite a task to do. OF course no one wants to miss the festivities so they go none the less. There are some things which could make your trip easier. One of the main problems that people encounter is accommodations. To make sure that you have somewhere to stay, book early. Some people book as early as eight months before. You will also want to be sure that you consider two important things when planning your trip: comfort and safety. Though you may opt to wear a costume on the last night of the festival wear comfortable clothing at other times. Remember that you will be doing a lot of walking. Leave behind jewelry and large amounts of money. If you really need to bring things with you use a fanny pack. With all the people around when you go to the Mardi Gras it may not seem very enticing after all if you don't like large crowds. You can always visit Louisiana at a different time of the year and you will find that there is still lots to do. You can enjoy other fairs and festivals; most especially the craft fairs and shows.
