Article Written By: Brutus Calvin

Add Your Picture Education is amongst the few basic necessities in our life. According to the constitution of India, education till the age of fourteen is a must and if required free education is a commitment of the constitution. The recent parliament act of Right to Information Act says that education is a free fundamental right of all children of the age group 6 to 14 year. NGOs are the government affiliated non profitable organizations that work for the non privileged sector to solve their burning problems.

There are a lot of Indian NGOs that works towards the success of delivery of free education in India. A few of them are Sarva Shikhsha Avyan, Amachar Ghar, Apnalaya, Tarang and many more. The basic objective of these NGOs is to provide equal opportunities to children who are not able to enjoy their fundamental right because of their financial crisis.

NGOs work in different wings to provide free education to the under privileged class of the country. Slum education is also a method of this noble job. It is a team of good-hearted people who develop the educational program to educate the children who are below the poverty line and are not able to afford the educational expense. The noticeable feature is that the program is established and executed with a lot of care.

A few of the NGOs have actually adopted some slums and the team members are living there to educate the slum children. They also run some attractive programs so as to make interesting to the students who does not even understand the importance and validity of their basic education. Through which these NGOs provide care, support and independence and are truly inculcating a sense of purpose. They provide these children with all possible help like the books, stationery, clothes, shoes, meal and other important requirements so as to be educated.

Along with educating they are also training students to become self dependent. Training programs like painting, handicrafts, and tailoring, cooking classes and others are run by them. The NGOs in India are working completely without any profit expectation just out of their own interest.

They are also motivating the citizens of the country to sponsor the program according to individual capacity which is wonderful path of allocating funds in the right way. Being the middle man, they are helping the fund to reach out to the people who actually require it.

The Indian NGOs are working efficiently with a lot effort to bring about a change in the form of the society. Education is the best way to change the structure of our society rather there is no other option and these NGOs are making an effort to let this difference happen in India.

There also has to be a special mention about the work in this aspect. They have been able to reach out to more slum children than any other state and have dedicated their services toward the creation of a better India.
