The Xerox Phaser 4400 printer is a high volume laser printer that produces documents in black and white. It is fast and efficient on all the printing you need to do, often with documents in the tray before you leave your seat. This printer is dependable and can let you print without having to worry about malfunctions. The cartridge ensures the last page is as sharp and crisp as the first.

The processor works at 266 MHz, allowing you to run the printing from the model. With the memory being able to expand to 64 MB, you can store and print large jobs on the printer and save your computer resources. You will get the first page in about 11 seconds and then it will print 26 ppm at 1,200 dpi, giving you clear and sharp images and text.

The printer installs easily onto any computer, and you do not need to know the IP address for the printer to have it placed on your workgroup. It connects via an Ethernet connection, and is user friendly enough that computer skill and knowledge are not required for use. If the paper or toner gets low, there is an alert that can inform that it needs to be attended to, which comes on the computer screen.

The paper tray is able to hold a full ream of paper at one time. It will also feed from the tray different weights of paper, and the range is 16 to 133 pounds, including bond and card stock, without the need of additional equipment. You an use standard A4 paper and legal size, or create your own custom sized paper to print on. You can purchase an optional envelope feeder, which makes this able to perform all the printing you need to do.

You are able to print up to 150,000 pages per month, which puts this into the high yield printer group. You can also customize the toner you need from 10,000 pages per Xerox Phaser compatible toner at the standard, to the higher 15,000 pages high capacity toner. The consumables are easily found in office supply stores at an affordable price for a laser printer.

They also offer extra features on the printer to make this even easier to use. You can use the pop up alert to find out why a printing job has not been completed and the PhaserSMART online help can identify problems through their troubleshooter. Printing is also easier with extra options like printing from a PDF document and edge to edge printing.

This printer is no longer being manufactured anymore, but it can still be found, most likely in a pre-owned condition. Toners are widely available at many stores still. The company is also still supporting drivers, so they can be installed and updated as needed.

You can do a variety of printing needs, on all kinds of paper and maintain fast speeds. It is also one of the easiest printers to install and use which makes it a good choice for those offices that are not necessarily high tech, but still need excellent printing.
