Hard disks are, used to store data on the computer. Modems are, used to connect to the Internet. There are two types of modems. One is, known as inbuilt modem and the other is, known as an external modem. The difference between the two is that one connects externally and the other is built into the computer.

Speakers are also included in the basic computer components. However, they are not necessary, as a computer can perform its function without speakers. However, you use it sometimes.

Having this knowledge on computer components can be of great help in deciding whether to buy a computer unit. You do not need to buy expensive computer equipment if your business or work does not require any special software that requires certain equipment. Whether it is for a PC or for a laptop you can add RAM without the actual intervention of a technician.

The Hard Disk is the part of the hardware of your computer components that will provide storage capacity. The bigger the hard drive is, the more information you can store in your computer. All programs you install to your computer use space.
