Australia rules state that the director and secretary who will fill up the roles in the (proprietary) company must be living in Australia. A public company on the contrary must have three directors or more and at least one secretary. Every member of the company must sign a liability form incase the company is required to pay when the company winds up.

The other step in how to register a company in Australia is to fill and complete the application form. Once you have cleared the processes above it is now time to fill in the application for registration as a company. Here are some of the details you will be asked to fill about; registered office details, type and class of the company, the details of the director and secretary, principle business office details and the members share structures.

A certificate of registration will be given after the above details have been accepted and certified, and the complete fee cleared. From then on the company will be labeled as a legal company under the laws in Australia; it will remain so until the company is by chance de registered.
