Providing More For Those Who Want More!
You've researched your niche, carefully selected your products, and advertised them on the Internet. A few customers have placed orders, and your search engine rankings are improving, bringing new visitors every day. You've got all the basic small business website design principles in place. Yet you'd like to take it to the next level, to make amazing profits with your online business. So what are you missing?
I've been there. I've learned how to build a successful online business, and I've learned some important lessons along the way. For example, I've learned that if you offer more, you get more in return.
How many times have you bought a new DVD, sight unseen, because your favorite actor starred in the movie? Do you have a favorite author, one whose books you always buy (even in hardcover)? You like their work, and you want more. When they delivered, you couldn't wait to buy!
You wanted more and they offered it. Now, you must do the same thing. Because it is 10 times easier to sell a product or service to someone who has already bought from you. They already know you. They already trust you. And hopefully, they even LIKE you! People buy from those they know, like and trust.
So, what does all this have to do with offering more to those who want more? This is where capturing the emails of those who visit your web site comes in. They already bought from you, they want more of what you have to offer (because you have done the research and know EXACTLY what they want)...but after they leave your web site, what are the chances they will ever come back? The chances are less than 1%...even if they book mark your site or put you in their favorites! This is why you must do two things - constantly look for new products they would like and constantly keep in contact with them. What would you say if I had you over for a visit and then never spoke to you again? You would think I was rude! But if you never contact those who visit your web site, are you not doing the same thing?
Spend some time developing your e-mail list. Offer your customers a special deal - offer a free article, mini-course, or newsletter in exchange for their first name and e-mail address. This is a quick and easy way to develop a healthy e-mail list.
Your e-mail list is where the money is. Large corporations like Amazon.com use their lists to advertise special offers, new products, and more directly to customers. You can easily use the same technology. Keep doing this, and you too can make an amazing profits with online business!
In the spirit of giving your customers what they want, keep this in mind. Let's say you have developed an e-book. By selling it for $27, you hope to eventually become a millionaire. Imagine how much easier that journey would be if you sold $97 e-books, complete with audio and video. Perhaps your customers will come back for a $447 home study course. They tell their friends, and before you know it, they are all clamoring for a $5,500 workshop. That's a great way to build a successful online business!
You see, the trick is to offer more to those who want more. Who want more attention, who want the faster track or who want the inside information to get up and running very quickly. And as long as you offer quality information or products, both you and your customer will be very happy people!
