The other way is to have name recognition and have your consumers associate your name with the product or service you provide. There are several ways to advertise to your consumers. What this does is has your company or product listed on the side of the search engine whenever someone types in the keywords you specify. This is a good tool because the search engine is syndicated all over the Internet. Google isn t the only one who does this, MSN and Yahoo also do this, so become familiar with this type of advertising and pick what is best for your. However, if you don t want to pay for advertising, the best way is to use the search engines to your advantage. You want to get your name to be listed as high up as it can given the type of keywords you apply. This differs from Adwords because it s free and your website will be listed in the search results and not on the side of them. To do this successfully you have to choose precise keywords and have a site that offers information that is useful to your consumers. This is a much more effective way because it doesn t cost anything. Having a home business and having a website isn t the only thing you need when having a home business. You need to know ways to get your name and your website out to the public. Various ways of advertising like Google Adwords, or using search engines to your advantage are both great ways to do this, but there are endless other ways as well. The key to success is to research and become familiar with this and then you can pick the option that fits you best.
