When it comes to marketing your business, one key element you want is to make sure whoever sees your advertising, remembers it. Let's face it, it doesn't do a lot of good to spend money on a marketing campaign if no one remembers the advertising. That's why huge companies spend lots of money with advertising agencies to build brands and to come up with slogans that people don't forget. But for small business marketing ideas, we have to work with a much smaller budget. Here are 6 relatively inexpensive tips that will help people remember your marketing:1) Push your brand/name. Advertise on everything you can get your hands on, especially if you're a small business. While advertising can be a huge expense, those ads pay off. Advertise on banners at ball games, sponsor ad space on local restaurant menus, do door hangers with promotions, and generally do as much advertising as you can afford.2) Come up with that memorable catch-phrase or slogan. While "You Deserve A Break Today" or "Watch For Falling Prices" may have cost a lot to come up with, finding a similarly memorable tagline for your business can be free and will fit in well with small business marketing tips and strategies.3) When doing mailings, whether you're using postcards or brochures, make sure you've got enough information on them to pique interest, but always leave them wanting more. This will invite them to go to your website or to call, or even come by if you have a showroom to learn more.4) Talk to existing customers to see what they like best about your business and use those aspects to sell to other customers. If they like your prices, push prices. If they appreciate your customer support, push customer support.5) Be consistent in your advertising. Keep a similar look and feel from your flyers and brochures to your business cards and website which should be easier as a small business. Customers want a consistent flow between all of your ads, and that in and of itself help them be memorable. 6) Continually advertise. This keeps your name and business in front of people's eyes. For instance, continually advertise on banners and programs at the high school football game, but then also advertise on banners and programs during basketball and wrestling season too. Even though that will cost money, as a small business marketing idea, it's virtually unbeatable.Small, home town businesses have to maintain a high level of visibility to remain memorable. Some advertising is free, or low cost. Advertising on Craig's List is free, classified ads in the local papers is usually relatively inexpensive, and even though those are lower traffic than a lot of other places you can advertise, people will see those ads and go "Oh, I remember them."And that's what you want. Be remembered by taking advantage of those tips. Big companies didn't get to be big companies without a lot of people seeing their ads, and small companies get bigger by being seen by more people. Advertise. It pays.
