First, look at your company's air conditioning. Does it run the whole day? Is it left running at certain nights? Is your spending too much on electricity? Consider getting appliances with timers. The timers will ensure that no energy is wasted. Once work is finished, your air conditioning will automatically turn off. You will save money on electricity bills and prevent fire from occurring at your workplace as well.

Second, look at paper spending. Does your company use too much paper on memos and progress reports? It is time to switch to email. Cut these expenses by only printing documents which need hardcopies.

Third, look at car expenses. Is your company car being used every day? If not, maybe you should consider selling the car. Renting a car may be a better solution. You'll just hire a car and driver when you need a means of transportation. Renting will save you money on additional car costs such as registration, parking and service fees, insurance, maintenance etc.

Fourth, look at newspaper and magazine subscriptions. Do your employees really read these items at your office waiting area? If not, it is time to cancel some of your subscriptions. Maintain only those materials that are frequently read.

Fifth, look at your company's travel expenses. Is you are spending too much on flights and hotel-bookings, it is time to avail of promos travel agencies provider. Inquire about travel packages and vouchers. Travel agencies may be able to book trips at a cheaper rate. Also, never travel if unnecessary. Make sure meetings are held at your office or somewhere relatively close.

Sixth, look at the things found in your office. Get rid of al the unnecessary things. Remove the vases that cost you to buy flowers daily. Remove the paintings that you rent. Room decoration may be the reason behind being unable to achieve expense reduction.

To achieve cost containment, you must spend time evaluating your expenses. Proper evaluation will allow you to reduce around 30 percent. If you do not have the time and resources for evaluation, you may opt to hire a cost management company.

The cost management company will study your spending and will suggest ways to cut your costs. Some suggestions are downsizing, group purchasing, and supplier negotiating.
