Planning your career is like making a sketch before painting a masterpiece. A sketch should define the main lines and contours of the objects, and do not reveal the details. A proper planning, unlike sketching, should be detailed and structured. The key requirements towards career planning, similarly to sketching, entail the clear object and the vision of the future object.

On the one hand, career planning is the lifelong process, as it requires adaptations, restructuring and sometimes complete changing of the previously elaborated plan. On the other hand, planning should be started as early as possible. Thus, here are some tips for planning:

1.Self-discovery and self-development. The fact is that any employer wishes to have experienced worker with sufficient knowledge of related spheres and activities. Thus, self-development in professional and personal perspectives should be regarded as the key requirement for the planning process. Plan to spend at least 15 minutes a day for self development and education

2.Explore your options. Working in a company, structure, organization etc does not mean that the opportunities provided by your job are the only alternative. You always have the chance to quit and start working in the same industry, or place the other post in the same company. Moreover, you may join the responsibilities of two or more positions, thus, creating the solid basis for further career growth.

3.Make decisions. These may be associated with the activity of the company or your own destiny. Most employers encourage enthusiasm and initiative. Moreover, do not be afraid to make solid decisions on the matters of your own career and plan your further development.

4.Moving on. Always plan development and never allow stagnations. Life means moving and planning your career growth you are obliged not to stop planning and developing.

Independently on the career origin, the key value of its planning is the definition of the self-development requirements and conditions. Selecting a college is the important choice for further life; nevertheless, entrance exams may seriously influence the final decision. The fact is that some students select the college in accordance with the easiest entrance exams or the least severe requirements; however, the actual difficulty is closely associated with the proper selection of the major. In order to make the proper choice, some rules and principles should be taken into consideration.

1.Size of the college does not define the complexity level of the entrance exams. Some people consider that the larger colleges have the stricter entrance requirements. However, this is the commonly spread myth, which is far from reality, as most liberal colleges have up to 4000 students.

2.The name of the college defines its popularity, and this factor also distracts students. On the one hand, it is closely associated with the necessity of the colleges to maintain their reputation; on the other hand, these colleges are glad to accept those who are interested in further studies and research activity. Thus, you will need to show your enthusiasm and briefly present your research activity if you have some.

3.Never believe exaggerated stories told by others. Listen to them and make conclusions, however, set up a filter and never believe those who have not entered yet. Stories only spread myths and are far from reality. On the one hand, that may have some reasonable background; on the other hand, they are extremely exaggerated.

Finally, you have to be sure that you need to enter. Strong determination is more powerful than all the rules and requirements altogether. Thus, just consider your actual aim, find out all the necessary details, collect documents, and apply. Nothing should prevent you from reaching your dream and making it come true, as you are the only who is able to fulfill your own wishes and plans.
